The structuring of the Memos gets handled with the support of folders and subfolders in a tree. However many files can be attached to the bottom of a Memo. The Professional-Edition allows the archiving of file attachments on a server so that these attachments can be commonly shared (checked-in/out) within a company or a department (128 Bit AES encrypted).

Link continuative information with your Memos. Therby website links, links to e-mails, files and folders can easily be created as well as cross references to additional Memos and Memo folders. You can also create links to further Memo databases or on shortcuts on your Windows desktop.

The Full Text Search searches the whole Memo database at lightning speed. A document search allows the search within open Memos. With the support of the Search Wizard, you will be able to search precisely and in a limited way.
You can search for several search terms which either contain all, at least one or none (AND/OR/NOT). Further, you can search for the date created and modified. The list of matches can also be filtered, sorted, and grouped.

Do you sometimes search for certain words as well? Then, simply use the integrated synonym dictionary which enables the search of synonymous words. If this is not sufficient enough, the further integrated research tools in Google and Wikipedia might help.
Do you work with Microsoft Outlook? If so, you are able to link Memos with tasks or appointments, and can certainly receive reminders. With one mouse click on the link, the appropriate Memo opens - directly from Microsoft Outlook!

Information may become irrelevant after a certain period of time. To ensure your database won't be loaded unnecessarily, an expiration date can be assigned to each Memo. As soon as the expiration date is reached, the Memo deletes itself independently.

Scretes shall remain secret. Therefore, Memo elements can be protected with a password. Protected Memos are marked with a key smybol.

The Professional-Edition allows the assigment of user and group permissions for individual elements - such as for whole folder structures or single Memos. This ensures the permission of who is able to read, print, export or delete an element.

The Professional-Edition supports the usage of the Microsoft SQL Server (also the free Express-Edition, which can be added to the delivery without additional charges). The database maintenace and permission administration can conveniently be handled via the clearly arranged Administration module.
Public (for all assigned users of a network) and Personal (private, for individual users) Memo databeses can be administered. Memo databases can independently be protected by with a password and be assigned to individual groups.

The central Document Archive of the Professional-Edition automatically stores the files attached to a Memo in the 128 Bit encrypted AES Rijndael Algorithm. Since 2001, AES has been an advanced encryption standard by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which offers a very high cryptographic securty, speed and efficiency.
